Due squadre rimangono imbattute dopo tre turni di Super Rugby 2016: i Brumbies e gli Sharks
Ad aprire il programma della terza giornata di Super Rugby 2016 è stato il match tra Blues e Hurricanes: i Blues sono andati avanti 8 a 0 grazie alla spettacolare meta di Rene Ranger ma poi i ‘Canes l’hanno raddrizzata con le mete di Vito e Perenara lanciato da Milner-Skudder che nell’occasione si è infortunato alla spalla; gli uomini di Umaga hanno provato a riaprirla ad inizio ripresa con la meta di Moala ma gli Hurricanes l’hanno chiusa definitivamente con la seconda segnatura pesante di Perenara.
Tutto facile per i Brumbies sul campo di Western Force, Moore e compagni segnano quattro mete e si portano a casa anche il punto di bonus; vittoria agevole anche per gli Highlanders contro i Lions.
Terza sconfitta su altrettanti incontri per i Reds che a Melbourne provano la rimonta sui Rebels ma finiscono comunque per perdere. Bel match a Tokyo dove i Sunwolves segnano quattro mete nel primo tempo, tre con Yamada, ma i Cheetahs di Franco Smith hanno il merito di rimanere in partita grazie a 13 punti dell’apertura Marais; nella ripresa la franchigia giapponese segna solo un piazzato con Pisi e subisce 19 punti dai Sudafricani che si portano a casa il match.
I Chiefs riscattano la brutta sconfitta della settimana scorsa asfaltando i Southern Kings mentre gli Sharks riescono a vincere sul campo degli Stormers grazie alla meta nel finale di Joe Pietersen
