Prima vittoria stagionale della Benetton in European Challenge Cup
La Benetton Treviso vince meritatamente a Bayonne e porta così a casa la prima vittoria in European Challenge Cup; grazie anche ad un’ottima prestazione del pacchetto di mischia, Treviso è praticamente sempre stata in vantaggio e ha così espugnato il campo degli avversari francesi. Nella stesso girone di Treviso, la Pool 1, Gloucester ha battuto col bonus la Rochelle ed è così lanciato in testa.
Nella Pool 2 Ospreys passeggia a Grenogle, a fine match saranno ben nove le mete gallesi e 19 i punti di Dan Biggar, e Lyon sconfigge nettamente Newcastle. nel girone tre a Enisei non riesce di battere il terzo avversario illustre e perde contro Brive mentre Worcester ha la meglio su Newport.
Nel girone 4 Cardiff regola Bath e Bristol batte col bonus Pau. Infine, nella Pool 5, gli Harlequins vincono a Timisoara e Edinburgh sorprende lo State Francais.
