Clermont, Leinster e Munster restano imbattute in European Champions Cup

A Treviso non è andata come a Llanelli e stavolta gli Scarlets hanno vita più facile contro la Benetton, riuscendo a portarsi a casa vittoria e bonus. Con questa vittoria il girone si complica decisamente anche in virtù del successo storico di Bath su Toulon in terra inglese; ora ci sono tre squadre in un punto.

Nella Pool 1 la doppietta di Daly condanna La Rochelle alla prima sconfitta in coppa per mano di Wasps mentre Ulster rifila oltre 50 punti agli Harlequins. Nella Pool 2 comanda Clermont complice la vittoria casalinga e sofferta – arrivata con un calcio all’ultimo minuto di Spedding – contro Saracens ma risalgono la classifica anche gli Ospreys vittoriosi contro Northampton.
Nella Pool 3 Leinster rimane imbattuto complice il back to back contro Exeter, back to back riuscito anche a Montpellier contro Glasgow che vale ai Francesi il secondo posto in classifica.
Infine, nel girone 4, Munster vince a Welford Road contro Leicester e rimane in testa alla Pool tallonata da Racing 92 vincitrice nel derby francese contro Castres.
